It's a cottage by Lake windermere it's out the way ,no tv , lots of walking bowness across the lake harkshead, and Ambleside a drive away a quiet lazy get away

Simply perfect

I am so dissatisfied with the cleanliness, state of repair and general upkeep. And poor communication to set expectations that standards are unacceptable. Filthy windows with months old cobwebs that have gone white or dirty. It needs a deep clean inside and basic maintenance outside. Whoever reviews the standards has got them way off. Guttering needs repair. The fire smoked more inside the house than up the chimney. The double bed has springs sprung. The gate had been replaced with Harris fencing with a 1m gap. Outside is overgrown even for a natural place. A waspS nest was in the process of being treated during our stay and no one could be bothered to forewarn us? sadly my autistic son couldn’t stand it so slept on the teeny sofa but left after 3 nights as I persuaded him to try… but it was too slovenly for his basic standards of cleanliness and security. For my nonverbal autistic niece there were too many hazards so she left Sunday.

Right on the edge of Windermere. Ideal place for a break away from it all. Don't expect all mod cons. There is a limited amount of power available but the location is unbeatable.

Absolutely stunning location on the shore of lake Windermere. Away from the tourist hotspots.
