Wonderful and welcoming accommodation in a beautiful area of the Lake District. So much to do and see close by. Flat had everything you needed and staff super helpful and friendly. Private lake where you can take a rowing boat out was an amazing experience. Had such a lovely break and will be back!

Anita and I had a great week at Broomriggs. The flat and its views are both superb. It is an ever changing vista of lake and fell looking out across Esthwaite and towards Grizedale and Coniston Old Man. We loved walking out through the bluebell woods at the back and out into the open fell. It was great to see the ospreys on their nest too. The photo is of Moss Eccles Tarn, where Beatrix Potter was inspired to write Jeremy Fisher.

This place is heaven! Beautiful accommodation. We stayed for 4 nights but felt like we'd been away from the world a lot longer! The owner, Sarah is really lovely and will more than reassure you, ahead and during your stay, if needed. Furnishings, accessories are all very high quality and everything you might need has been thought of. We wanted to stay longer just to read more books, play more games and take in that wonderful view a little more. We have rebooked! We went on the walks suggested in the guide book which have stunning views and really are away from it all and you can walk into Hawkshead from Broomriggs 5. We battled with ourselves each day as to how much time to spend in the local area and when to get back to enjoy the stunning accommodation just as much. We sat on the benches outside, even though it was cold (Dec) just to watch the ever changing landscape from Broomriggs. You couldn't get a more perfect location to explore the Lake District. There are soo many walks in the area and you are only a short drive away from other well known areas of the Lakes. A tiny part of us wanted to keep this place secret as it really is that special. However, Broomriggs 5, and Sarah more than deserve to have this 5* review. We cannot wait for our next visit.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The owner, Sarah, was so helpful when we first booked. My husband and I were taking my son for his 30th birthday for a week. We were delighted with the location overlooking Esthwaite Water. The property was exceptionally clean and well furnished, even puzzles, maps and DVDs and lots of games for children. At the back of the property are fabulous walks up to a tarn. Definitely will be going back when I next visit the Lake District. Thank you Sarah for making our week so special and one to remember.

Fantastic accommodation, fantastic location. We visited the Lake District for the first time this Summer and thanks to Broomriggs 5 we will not hesitate to book again for another visit. The apartment is beautifully presented and has everything you need and is in a stunning location. Our children loved playing within the grounds and had so many choices of what to play on/with! One of our favourite walks was out the back of the property. With easy access by foot to Beatrix Potter's house and museum there is so much to do nearby. (Our youngest is 8 and she was able to do all the local walks with ease). The boats are a fabulous bonus and even at the height of summer we were able to use them any time we wanted to. The owner knows the area so well and we were given tips on where to go and where to avoid! We had an amazing week and have to go back just to be able to do some more things on the recommended list. Our tips - book restaurants in advance and visit Tebay services.

Where to start.... Our staycation at Broomriggs 5 was fantastic!!! It was perfectly situated to access all the destinations on our list. Broomriggs 5 has the most beautiful view over Esthwaite Water, with wonderful gardens to explore, including table tennis and pitch and putt to keep you busy. In addition you have access to rowing boats to explore the lake better. The apartment is the perfect retreat to relax and unwind after a day of hiking and wild swimming. Sarah has left detailed instructions to help you better explore the lakes, we decided to follow her instructions and take an early morning swim at Moss Eccles Tarn, a must do in our opinion. We can't wait to revisit and further explore from the perfect Broomriggs 5.

Our first family visit to the Lakes and it was amazing, made even more so by staying at Broomriggs 5. Beautiful property and grounds, perfect for adults to explore the gardens and enjoy the views and children to play table tennis, golf or badminton. Flat 5 was very welcoming with a lovely tray of local treats for us to enjoy over the week. The kitchen was perfect for our needs, the bedrooms very comfortable. All rooms were a good size. Very homely. Alan and his wife were very friendly and helpful on arrival and during our stay if we had any questions. The location was perfect to explore the Lakes. Highly recommend Hawkshead and Near Sawrey. We would highly recommend this accommodation and can't wait to stay again.

We had the best holiday at Broomriggs 5! Everything you could think of was provided and the kids loved the toys and playground! The flat is beautifully renovated and was so comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and access down to the lake and up to the tarn makes for great family walks. The owners provided us with tons of ideas and information on things to do with 2 toddlers which was so helpful! We definitely want to go back!

We have stayed at the wonderful Broomriggs many times; this was a return after some years of absence. The lovely grounds were as remembered, and the view over Esthwaite Water, lush green tree topped hills at its far side, with Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam on the sky line, is once seen never forgotten. Flat 5 is extremely well appointed and cared for, providing all needs including - importantly - comfortable beds. There is nothing to fault. We enjoyed a really good week. Accommodation and location, both great.

A wonderful holiday flat. The pictures don't do it justice. We stayed there as a family of 4 and had the most wonderful time. The interior design is beautiful and very welcoming, lots of extras like books and games for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The outside area is beautiful and very well maintained. Would definitly stay again and recommend highly.
